At its eleventh meeting in 2023, the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention invited developing country Parties and Parties with economies in transition to provide information to the Secretariat:
- On their needs for technical assistance and technology transfer (decision SC-11/14)
- On their funding needed for the implementation of the Stockholm Convention over the period 2026-2030 (decision SC-11/14)
In light of the above and with the aim to facilitate the collection of information, the Secretariat has developed an online questionnaire consisting of two parts:
- Part I for the assessment of technical assistance needs; and
- Part II on the funding needed for the implementation of the Convention for 2026-2030.
Each part of the questionnaire has a different submission deadline and can be submitted independently.
The Conference of the Parties also invited developed-country Parties and others to provide information to the Secretariat on the technical assistance and technology that they have available to be transferred to developing country Parties and Parties with economies in transition (decision SC-11/13) .
The questionnaires targeted to the developing country Parties and Parties with economies in transition, and targeted to the developed country Parties and others were sent to the respective Official Contact Points to the Stockholm Convention on 14 March 2024 The deadline for submitting Part I of the questionnaire is by 31 May 2024 and for Part II it is 30 June 2024.

Taking into account the information collected, the Secretariat will prepare a report on the progress made in providing technical assistance and capacity-building as well as facilitating the transfer of environmentally sound technologies to Parties. This report will be submitted to the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties in 2025.
