Call for information and follow-up to the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention

Introduction

At its eighth meeting held in Geneva from 24 April to 5 May 2017, the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention agreed on the decisions contained in annex I to the report of the meeting, document UNEP/POPS/COP.8/32. Many of the decisions included invitations to Parties and others to provide information.

The following letter was sent to Parties and observers to solicit information sought in the decisions adopted by the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention at its eighth meeting. The individual invitations to submit information are organized by decisions. Information sought in each decision can be transmitted separately, since the deadlines for submission vary.

Similar letters have also been prepared to solicit information sought in the decisions adopted by the conferences of the Parties to the Basel and Rotterdam conventions at their 2017 meetings and are available on the Basel and Rotterdam convention’s websites.
