As of 2019, the following POPs listed in Annexes A and B to the Stockholm Convention have industrial uses:
- Annex A: decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE), hexabromobiphenyl (HBB), hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), hexabromodiphenyl ether (HexaBDE) and heptabromodiphenyl ether (HeptaBDE), hexachlorobenzene, hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD), pentachlorobenzene, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCN), short-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCP), tetrabromodiphenyl ether (TetraBDE) and pentabromodiphenyl ether (PentaBDE);
- Annex B: Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride (PFOSF).
